Antigua Guatemala Rental, is a five minute ride from historic Antigua Guatemala, offers the passionate traveler both a quiet retreat and a gateway to this part of Guatemala.

Set against a mountain with volcano views, surrounded by quiet and lush gardens, La Villa is the best of both worlds:  a chance to relax in beautiful Spanish colonial-style house in countryside surroundings, yet it’s just a short ride or pleasurable walk to the lively main square of Antigua Guatemala, a UNESCO Heritage site.

Centrally located, Villa hosts can link you to all that the region has to offer the curious traveler:  from the historical cobblestone walks in Spanish colonial Antigua Guatemala to the Mayan ruins at Tikal to the beauty of Lake Atitlan, to the shopping bonanza in Chichicastenango market or to Pacaya, an awesome and very much alive volcano.

Located on two scenic acres, four kilometers from town, our Villa features five bedrooms, each with en suite bathroom.  Here energy can be renewed after a day’s sightseeing.  Cocktails and light dinner can be served at La Villa or transit can be arranged so that you can take in the restaurants and nightlife of Antigua Guatemala.

Your hosts are Canadian and American who love the region and can guide you to its many attractions.  A menu or package of activities can be arranged by the Villa or we can advise you on how and where to go to get the most out of your visit to Antigua Guatemala and its environs.

La Villa de Antigua was built with a large family in mind.  It’s a masterful arrangement of colonial style elegance with a casual at-home feeling. Guests can enjoy quiet privacy or find areas for socializing with traveling companions or other guests while enjoying movies, our cocktail bar, library and our stately baby grand piano.  We cater to a clientele that appreciates staying in a place that’s a bit off the beaten track, but one that still provides comfortable and tranquil accommodation in a convenient location.

This not a standard-issue holiday hotel , but rather a small villa retreat, that holds a maximum of 10 guests per night in a safe, gated country-side community setting.

Along with sightseeing itineraries or individual activities, which can be organized by La Villa staff, we can also set you up with yoga classes, spas, Salsa lessons, Spanish lessons and shopping expeditions to name a few leisure activities a visitor might enjoy while on vacation.  We understand that a vacation is as much about rest as it is about the stimulation of sightseeing in exotic locations.  Downtime for many travelers and their weary feet is just as important as taking in all the sights.  A gin and tonic or glass of wine (tropical fruit juice, too) on the tranquil garden terrace or by a roaring fire might just hit the spot after a long day of exploring local attractions.

Amenities include:  wireless Internet, library, movies.  Enjoy your complimentary breakfast in the garden or family-style dining room.  Light dinners are also available upon request.

Prices:  Rooms are $129.00 US per night, each with a double bed and en suite bathroom.

Antigua Guatemala is located four kilometers from Antigua Guatemala’s Central Park, which is the centre of town.  It’s about an hour’s drive southwest from Guatemala City.  Our on-call and specially assigned taxi drivers will pick you up at the airport, bus station or your hotel and take you to our front door. Buses, the kind you’re used to back home or chicken buses, will take you to the main station, from there you can hire a tuk-tuk (motorized rickshaw) or a taxi.  We recommend the tuk-tuk since its lots of fun and cost will likely run you about $2.50 US.

Or we can arranged one of our on-call taxis to pick you up at the bus station in Antigua Guatemala.
