Our blogging life talks mainly about the Yokobsens’s travel and life adventures. We attempt to tell readers without commercialism, the truth about travel to Central America, and in particular, Antigua Guatemala.  We choose who is allowed to advertise on our web sites. In this series of posts I Mr. Yokobsens will talk about my daily activities as the man to feed, cook, shop and prepare food on a daily basis for friends, family, travelers and guests that share our home over the next six months in Antigua Guatemala.

The goal of these daily Blogs about Antigua Guatemala are to give other travelers a view of how to manage and prepare food  for two or two hundred guests. Guatemala is a little bit tricky about buying, managing, storing and preparing food. I hope to over the next six months of our vacation in Antigua offer travelers coming to this are hints and suggestions how to live and eat like a king using my Antigua Guatemala Food Recipes for less then $50 US a week to feed a family of four.

Understand that I am not a master chef, have not had formal training other then 50 years of cooking for my family. Thus my recipes and food are all easy to make. My focus is on Antigua Guatemala Food Recipes. The reason is that each day I venture out and continue to meet new people every day. Not the normal tourist places found in Antigua the small back street fabulous food places. Which I will share each day with those that choose to follow this adventure.

Today my first recipes is ?

start with 1 / 2 hour before
This recipe makes 12 servings
Ingredients –
12 good-sized peppers
1 1 / 2 pound of ground beef
1 egg
2 ounces of bread crumbs
10 tomatoes
1 onion
1 / 4 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 1 / 2 teaspoon salt
2 cloves of garlic
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
Preparation –
A hot peppers a slice is removed where is the trunk and takes out?the seed. Then mix 3 tomatoes, chopped, 1 / 2 onion?chopped, bread crumbs, egg, 1 1 / 2 teaspoon salt and pepper?raw ground beef and all that are filled chiles.
In a pot Boil the remaining 7 tomatoes in a glass of water and?all was settled and water are added 1 teaspoon of salt.?In a skillet, fry the garlic and 1 / 2 onion, finely chopped and was?tomatoes made liquid.
Chiles are then placed with the opening paraditas up inside?the sauce, cover and let simmer for 20 minutes.
It can be acompanied with mashed potatoes or rice.
