Description
Tucked away above Nicaragua’s Playa Yankee, Orquidea Del Sur is a unique intimate tropical retreat for discriminating travelers, wishing to organize a family, wellness or executive development retreat.
The lower level of this two level newly constructed tropical paradise has four (4) well appointed suites, each with its own porch with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. In addition to the suites are the 50-foot infinity pool, the rancho and the large in-ground fire-pit, all surrounded by tropical landscaping and the sounds of the twenty foot high waterfall. The fifth suite is on the upper level adjacent to the main house. The main house’s open design, flows through five large areas; the casual lounge; the dining area with its ornately carved Nicaraguan tables and chairs; the billiard area with its regulation slate table; and the well-stocked library. To the rear of these areas is the 1000 sq. ft. two-story well-equipped kitchen providing abundant space for group cooking.
Local Description: Situated on Playa Yankee one of Nicaragua’s finest surfing beaches. Great location for the beginning and experienced surfer. A short drive south to la Flor to watch the turtles nesting. A short drive north to the fishing village of San Juan del Sur. Several horseback riding trails wander through mountain terrain or end on a sandy beach where you can enjoy a shore dinner.

The necessary Nicaraguan business papers are all organized and the turn key business opportunity is about to explode. The reports of the guests to date have all been incredible and although the travel market has been slow the business is starting to pick up.

The only thing more spectacular than the view is the retreat it self with its multitide of quiet nooks snuggled into the tropical gardens. The firepit is a wonderful place to relax and the large spacious kitchen creates an environment that is conducive to great entertaining by the owner or their guests.
The artisan or Orquidea have created a unique collection of originally designed furniture, art works, and paintings that are a credit to the local craftsmen.
